Starting from August 2024, NHR@ZIB will replace the the underlying hardware of Lise’s global file systems HOME and WORK for all compute systems of Lise in Berlinwill be replaced. This affects all login nodes and all Compute compute partitions. Please be aware of the following activities.

  • oneOne-week maintenance - The replacement of the file systems HOME and WORK is prepared.twofor preparation steps and for transfer of HOME data. During this downtime, NHR@ZIB staff copies all data from the old to the new HOME storage. User’s don’t need to take action regarding their data in HOME.

  • Two-month migration phase - Users can copy data from the old to the new WORK file system.

  • All data in the HOME file system will be copied by NHR@ZIB staff. Users do not have to do anything on the HOME file system.

Time schedule

  • for data in WORK. During this period, both the old and new WORK file systems are available, and users transfer their data from the old to the new WORK storage.
