19.09.2024 - System closed due to filesystem problems

A Lustre filesystem server has failed. /scratch is partially unavailable. We're closing the system for repair.

19.09.2024 - Restricted operation in week Sept 30 - Oct 4

during the week September 30th to October 4th, NHR@ZIB performs a reconfiguration of the communication network. Within that time period we restrict the operation to the following compute systems.

• The CPU CLX partition based on Rocky Linux is available. Users can access the system via the login nodes blogin3-8 and via the slurm partitions cpu-clx.
• The CPU system based on CentOS and all CPU systems are not available. In particular these slurm partitions are NOT available: standard96, gpu-a100, gpu-pvc.

01.08. 2024 - Operating system migration

In Lise's new partition "cpu-clx" now, 688 nodes are available. In the old partition "standard96" only a limited number of nodes is available any more.

On Tuesday, July 30th, we will start preparing another 576 compute nodes of Lise's "standard96" partition for the new operating system. We expect them to be back for production under Rocky Linux 9 in the "cpu-clx" partition on August 1st.

18.07. 2024 - File system replacement

Starting at the end of August 2024, NHR@ZIB system "Lise" will receive new HOME and WORK file system hardware. This involves a downtime for maintenance. Users will copy data during a migration phase.
