Usage at HLRN
Load the modulefile
$ module load zlib
This provides access to the script pkg-config that can be used to explore details of the library installation. The environment variable LD_RUN_PATH is set to make linking with rpath easy.
Building zlib
Installation includes
download from web page
load a compiler module file
run configure. Use --prefix=<install_path>.
run make, make test and make install.
